24th Scale

I have added quite a few items today to my 1/24th scale range, a lot more are on the design table, so watch this space _______________
The clock pictured above measures just over 3-1/2" tall, but does not work, I ain't that clever!
It's made from real wood and finished in real burr walnut and then waxed.
It's a one of a kind, so first come, first served.......
There are now some new 1/24th prints, frames and mirrors and fireplaces on my site www.harvington.com

more frames

My latest two picture frames are now ready and are on my website.
Also just finished a new fancy mirror which also is now on the site.
That's my lot for the weekend, think I need a little rest now, family meal tomorrow and then back in the workshop Monday.
But I guess there's always a chance I may do a little carving later today, just don't tell her that must be obeyed.

A pleasant day

Nice time in me workshop, finished off the frames I've been working on, must say they are my best yet, hopefully have photos of them in a couple of days.

Still carving a few spooky things, get those finished and will be back to normal miniatures!
Also getting the urge to do some more oil painting, think something special is needed for the new frames.
Some more paintings been added to the website www.harvington.com

Had a few requests for some 1/24th scale items recently so every chance I will do a bit more in that scale.
Okay time for a rest, been a busy bee most of the day.

New Gravestones

Been one on those days today, busy busy, had to make up a couple of orders but managed to finish off my two new gravestones as seen in the photo, the one on the left has a bat and a pile of skulls, the right one has the witch's hat, her little goblin helper (he was a nasty piece of work) and her sly black cat.
May be quiet for couple days now as I am doing some new carvings and it's going to be the end of the week before I'm ready to add anything new.

New Paintings

Have now updated my website www.harvington.com with 12 new paintings.
Had a good and a bad day in the workshop, firstly have had a hiccup with my 1/24th house, so for now that has been put to one side, on a good note though my new wall plaques are coming along very nicely.

A tidy up

Well I took the bull by the horns this morning and had a tidy up in the workshop, what a mess that was, but much to my surprise I found a few items I had been working on, can't even remember starting them, even found some tools that I thought had been lost forever, anyway the workspace is now much tidier, so no excuses now.

Will be moulding in the morning, so all being well one or two new photos will be added here tuesday.

a day out

Just got back from a visit to Thame miniatures fair, wow there were some real class miniatures on display there today, would love to see more fairs of this quality, had a most enjoyable day out, was lovely to meet up with some very dear friends.

My miniatures, well just got started again, had more medical tests this week, but hopefully I am now on the mend and fingers crossed the tests are over and done with!

Almost ready for moulding, couple new gravestones, the one may be a bit too scarey, I actually have to put it in a lead lined box at night, spooks me too much!!!!
Hopefully add some new photos this coming week of a few new items.

Am really getting back into it now, am back working on a 1/24th scale tudor house, may be a few more buildings in this scale on the way, watch this space             !
My spooky fireplace will also be reproduced in 1/24th.

My latest creation, a gothic fireplace.

Monday

What a difference a week makes, actually what a difference a little tablet makes, been taking a new one for almost a week and now feel more like my old self.
Hopefully post a photo of my new spooky fireplace tomorrow along with a church wall memorial, they are almost ready for casting. A few more things on the go in the workshop as well, so all going along nicely at the moment.
The fancy fireplace will be a week or so perhaps, taking my time, very pleased with the way the filigrees are coming along, carving so small is not easy.

New things

Had a pleasant hour or son in the workshop this morning, couple new fireplaces on the go, one is an elegant style, the other is a crazy creation in my mind for a haunted house fireplace.
If all goes well I shall be able to post photos next week, that is if the moulding process goes okay.

My latest miniature commission, no prizes for guessing the city.

Back into action

Hi there, Dave here, thankfully!
Due to work and many other activities I had to cut back on my miniature work toward the end of last year, then bang! a serious setback with my health just before Christmas caused everything to come to a stop, natures way of telling me to slow down I think.
Am still off work but recovering nicely and have now made my decision about the future, lots of things are coming to an end, but miniature work I intend continuing, I enjoy creating and this past week has seen me back in my workshop, bit of a clean up, well a large clean up actually.
A lot of new ideas are now in mind and have actually started on a couple of new ones.
My website needs a good makeover and as soon as I have a few new items ready I will get started on that.
Also it was my intention of not doing any more miniature fairs, but now re-considering that, will see what happens over the next few months.
